There was a time when people only looked out to sea, when the border with the most feared was in the lands of the coastal Janda. The villages were watchtowers against invasions, their inhabitants protected themselves by building these watchtowers, faithful companions of the wind and the sea.<\/p>\n

They guarded the riches of the sea, the tuna and defended their neighbours against attacks by corsairs.<\/p>\n

Permanent witnesses of the dance between man and the sea, knowledgeable of the struggles between peoples for more than 500 years, the towers stand stoically on our coasts.
